The George's Planets® gospel choir founded in 1993 as a vocal group almost for fun, thanks to the intuition of a small group of friends. Initially formed by a dozen items, now is composed about thirty singers, complemented by a sparkling instrumental ensemble composed of four musicians: guitar, keyboards, bass and drums and it is directed by Alessandra Bugnano.

Particularity of this choir is the ability to musical expression that mixes a team polyphonic choral classical (Chorus for 4 voices: soprano, alto, tenor, bass) with an instrumental band, which allows arrangements by modern rhythms, inspired by funk, soul, rock and swing.

Over the years the choir has gained experience with numerous concerts in squares, churches and theaters of various locations of Piemonte especially in the provinces of Cuneo and Torino and international artistic events. Numerous partnerships with charities and local fair association in the events promoted for raising funds.

Among the most significant events we remember:
In 2006 the choir was selected to for the festival "Afro-American & Black Gospel Music festival" unfolded in Bologna. Moreover, George's Planets attended the seminar "Rhythm, Vocal Technique and Use of Tools" held by Professor Deborah Kooperman.
In June of 2007, George's Planets have been selected to participate in 10th International Choir Festival Alta Pusteria, where they met and compared with 99 other choirs from around the world.
In 2008 and for 3 consecutive years, the George's Planets took part in the Gospel Connection: three days of intense study of music and gospel cultur, held by famous American artist such as Trini Lopez Massie and Ronard Ixaac Hubbard, who unfolded for two issues in the town of Assisi, where George's could perform along with the rest of Italy's largest mass choir, composed more than 300 singers participating in the Gospel Connection, in the Basilicata of San Francesco, and in 2010 in Milan, where they animated the mass in Cathedral of Milan and were performed at the Teatro Smeraldo.
In 2009, the choir has presented to the public just a show, called "the circle of Kirikù, which accompanies the viewer on an exciting journey into Gospel music, from its origins in Africa, to this day, in which the music combines the art of dance and drama, thanks to collaboration with artists from outside the choir.
Finally, in 2010, the choir won first place in the choral competition "A Little of Note" at Occhiobello (RO).

The repertoire of the GP is very broad and includes both songs Spirituals, even in Africa, which mark the foundations of the gospel genre, gospel and classical pieces such as "Oh, Happy Day" or "Go Down Moses", but even more recent contemporary gospel songs, composed by famous American musicians, and excerpts from popular movie soundtracks of success, such as "I Will Follow Him", "Hail, Holy Queen" and "Is not No Mountain High Enough" from the movie Sister Act, or performed by outstanding artists in the modern music scene, like Mariah Carey with "Jesus, Oh What a Wonderful Child," Aretha Franklin "I Say a Little Prayer" with Celine Dion "Holy Night" and Mary J. Blige with "Take the Shackles", up to the famous "Let Me Live" by Queen.
The choir continues to expand and renew their repertoire, constantly pursuing the study of new songs.
Concerts is available an audio cd with some songs recorded in the studio.

The chorus, finally, also has a repertoire of sacred and religious chants and carries on a parallel animation of marriage ceremonies.

The choir is available for concerts in theaters or churches, for raising funds for charities, for events, festivals and choral festivals in general.
As a non-profit association is requested a donation to cover the costs of travel, which will be agreed at the time of contact.
It needs to be contacted no later than one month before the concert and it requires the availability of the room the night before and throughout the day for the operations of assembling (sound system) and check-sound.
